The Banana & the Binky

On our way back home from droping Joshua off at school this morning, Isabella wanted to eat a banana in the car. I peeled the banana and gave her half...
She pulled the binky out of her mouth and said in a Tiny voice:

Hey, my name is binky. What's your name?

My name is banana, how are you? (in a bigger voice)

just fine thanks! Banana... Are you delicious?

Oh yes I am! Wanna eat me?

yes, yes, just a small bite...

>>CHOMP<<

Wow, you are delicious!

I told you so!

May I have some more?

Off course!

Sad News :(

Yesterday I got a phone call that we all hope we never do. My father is very sick in the ICU. Even though we don't know what's wrong exactly, we know that he is being well taken care of.
He refused to go to the hospital yesterday, thinking he would feel better if he would only rest. Today he had no choice.
I am so glad that my big brother was there to take care of him and to help him in his time of need. I am also glad that i have a family that no matter what, we stick together and we love and care for each other.
I know that most of you have never met my father, but please keep him in your prayers.

Was that a Homerun??

Joshua saw the commercial for Better Batter Baseball on TV and he just had to have it. He had been talking about it for weeks, so we gave it to him for his birthday. Saturday after his party, DW put it together and took it out back. He played with it for a really long time, and said "I LOVE THIS THING!"

Hey, that was all i want to hear! Plus he gets some good excercise chasing after the balls he "knocked out of the park"

Changes are coming

Dwight and I have decided to put our house on the market. As is.... Yeah i know, just a little crazy.

DW recently updated his resume and we were SOOO surprised at the opportunities. He has so many recruiters hounding him with so many job opportunities that we're absolutely thrilled. That goes to show you that really the economy isn't as horrible as the media would like us to believe. Anyway, only problem is, the recruiters want him to commit and leave to NC (where we're planning on moving to) in TWO weeks. I am all for the awesome women out there that could live without their husbands for months and all, but I need my man by my side!! Especially with the amount of "projects" we suddenly have. I for one have no clue how to install a drop ceiling.

So, this is a dry run with the house. Our agent has told us that in our area, the houses are selling within 3 months + -. We figured we can put the house on the market now as it is, and if all buyers are totally appalled at the site of it, then we will consider making some changes, such as carpet & etc... According to the comps our agent brought us, some places have sold in as little as 5 days. Can you imagine?? In this market even! That gives me some hope.

Joshua has caught wind of some of our talks and announced HE DOES NOT WANT TO MOVE.

We felt bad. This is all he has ever known. He loves the yard, and his room (even though he is sharing it with Isabella at the moment). He finally has a core group of friends, little boys his age that he really enjoys being around, that is going to be hard to replace. (if you know Joshua, you know that he is the loner type).

We just hope and pray that we're making the right decisions. We have talked about this for a long time and it is finally coming to fruition. A little scary... it is a leap of faith, but exciting at the same time. Pray for us friends!!

Bella's Dancy Dance

If there is anything in this world Isabella loves, it is Yo gabba gabba. I must admit i find myself singing along to some of the catchy tunes. Aside from the weird characters, if you can look past that, the show is pretty good and it has good messages like, "don't bite your friends" (LOL) and "keep trying, don't give up". I can usually remind both of the kids that "It's more fun to share" and be a whole lot more convincing since Plex said so.

Anyway, Isabella absolutely loves this show, specially Foofa, and knows she can watch some episodes online, which was the case in this video. In every episode there is "dancy dance" time. They usually have a special guest teach a short little dance, which in Bella's video there was a couple teaching the "electric eel". I forgot who the couple was, but they're typically famous like, Elijah wood, Tony Hawk, Leila Ali, Maya... Anyway, it's pretty funny.*I heard a rumor that YGG was created by a couple of Mormon guys... but i think that might be an LDS urban legend. I guess the next thing i should get on video is Bella doing Biz's beat of the day. HILARIOUS!

The most comfortable place to sleep.

Every night, after the kids "go to sleep", I typically go back around and check on them before I got to bed myself. 9/10 times I usually find Isabella sleeping somewhere other than her bed. Most of the time she falls asleep on the floor behind the bedroom door. She is the kind of kid that will not go down without a fight. Sleeping behind the door is her way to feel connected to everything else that may still be going on. Off course in the beginning she got whacked by the door a lot, but fortunately no major injuries.
This time was different. It worried me at first, since the door opened without any problems and her bed was empty. But it didn't take much to find her since the bedroom is TINY.

Cheese Ball

Meet Cheese ball, Isabella's newest teddy bear. How did it get that name you ask? Well, here is the long story...
I was recently in Knoxville, TN where College football is HUGE. The school color... Orange, hence the color of the bear. On our way home from the airport, I presented the kids with the bears I had gotten at the TN airport. Since Joshua has been on an Avatar kick recently, he quickly named his Toph. Joshua asked Isabella what she was going to name her bear, and after getting some suggestions from us, she shouted CHEESE BALL!!!! Naturally!! The bear IS orange and right now that is her favorite snack.

Cheese Ball, Meet Cheese balls!! Yum!

Can't get enough of them :)
Jen, Isabella would like to thank you for not being able to fit the HUGE container of cheese balls in your moving truck!!

And to think I would have learned my lesson the first time!!!

Check out the hair :-P

Yes, she got into yet ANOTHER Vaseline container that was stored in her diaper changing basket.

This time, she also got it all over my bedroom carpet. At at least I had experience on my side and it was much easier to clean it all up. She was only greasy for about 2 days this time around.

Off course she thought she looked absolutely beautiful, and did not want to wash it off.
